Team Quebec and the host, Team BC, will meet in the Women’s National Championship final on Sunday at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, B.C.
B.C. defeated Quebec 73-65 in the final game of Day 2, handing Quebec its first loss of the tournament. Kady Dandeneau paced the hosts with 27 points, and Katie Miyazaki added 18 points for B.C. in the win. Quebec, the 2019 women’s national champions, defeated the team of mixed athletes 61-35 to open Day 2 of the tournament. Cindy Ouellet led all Quebec scorers with 33 points, and Sandrine Berube added 14. Team BC defeated the team of mixed athletes 75-42 on in their first game of the day. Saturday also featured the first 3-on-3 recreational competition in tournament history. Edmonton Team 2 went a perfect 6-0 in the 3-on-3 competition. Team BC 1 and Edmonton Team 1 rounded out the Top 3 in the 3-on-3 tournament. The 3-on-3 competition will conclude on Sunday with the final tipping off at 10:30 a.m. PT. The action concludes on Sunday when the host Team BC and Team Quebec battle for the national title 12:00 p.m. PT.
