Rotterdam Partners and Rollt. pull together for the Europeans

Rotterdam Topsport, Rotterdam Partners, Rotterdam Make It Happen and Rollt. are combining efforts to bring you coverage of the Wheelchair Basketball Women’s European Championships which are taking place from June 30th to July 7th.

Thanks to the support by Rotterdam Partners the full European Championships will be featured on all Rollt. channels. Video interviews with players and coaches, statements of decision-makers, insights of the Euros, daily summaries, Instagram stories including visits to Rotterdam’s accessible hotspots, interesting background stories and A LOT of photos are building the foundation of the on-location reporting. To produce content in Rotterdam we were able to partner up with photographer Steffie Wunderl and wheelchair basketball player and Girls & Ladies Commission member Simona Ladzik. This duo will be supported by our Scottish Rollt. reporter Dylan Cummings, who will join them in producing English-speaking content. All photos, postings and videos can be found using the hashtag #rotterdammakeithappen.

Rollt. editor in chief Martin Schenk spoke about the partnership: “I really want to thank Rotterdam Topsport, Rotterdam Partners and Rotterdam Make It Happen for their trust. The co-operation not only shows that wheelchair basketball is gaining momentum, but also that an authentic and professional media coverage of the European Championships and the city of Rotterdam is appreciated. The content produced will upgrade both the event and the hosting city. It also speaks for the appreciation that the decision-makers are showing all the athletes. Simona, Dylan and Steffie are three people with a big heart for wheelchair basketball. They will be there to supply the fans from all around the world with great content. I’m sure that wheelchair basketball fans will get their money’s worth.”

Rotterdam Partners spoke about the partnership: “Rotterdam is a very multi-cultural city with a strong focus on sports. We want to get people active in a diverse way. Rotterdam is the first Play Unified city in the Netherlands, which means that there is a strong focus on Paralympic sports. The European Championships is one of those events and we are very happy to host it and invite Rollt to cover this event properly. Rollt matches our raw, worldly and no-nonsense attitude and we are very glad that they Will show how this event matches with the Rotterdam mentality.”
